National Handwriting Day -- January 23

Every year on January 23rd we celebrate National Handwriting Day, which falls on John Hancock's birthday. Started in the early 1980s by the Writing Instrument Manufacturer's Association, National (and now International) Handwriting Day is intended to bring recognition to handwriting.
