Welcome to AHAF

Since 1967, our organization has been working hard to promote handwriting analysis. Membership has burgeoned and so have the benefits we offer. You are invited to tour our website through the menus above.

AHAF members, did you renew your dues? The Spring issue of The Vanguard newsletter is now available if you did.

Meet Mark LaRue, Our Newest Certified Graphologist

Mark LaRue was raised a "military brat" and lived all over the world.  He then served eight years in the U. S Navy as a Cryptologist. As a child, handwriting fascinated him, and he always wanted to have the near perfect penmanship he saw in historic documents, such as the Declaration of Independence. He was exposed to graphology in his teens while attending a book fair and has maintained an interest as a hobbyist ever since.  Currently he is an Environmental Scientist at the U. S.

Dr. Donna Whipple, Certified Graphologist!

Congratulations to Dr. Donna Whipple who just passed the AHAF Certification Examination!  Donna is a clinical psychologist who has been in practice for almost 30 years.  She has specialized training in psychological assessment and a particular interest in personality assessiment.  She enjoys researching all kinds of projective techniques, and that is how she came across graphology.  While she does not currently use the technique in her work, she hopes to see a revival of interest in graphology and handwriting in general.  Dr. Whipple is a Certified Cursive Coach.

Remedial handwriting and the law

At https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=9660919807157376463&hl=en&l..., there is a court decision on a child's progress in therapy for autism, global apraxia, and an intellectual disability. The case has maybe three values for graphology. First, HW is an indicator of disability. Second, remedial penmanship is a recognized legitimate therapy.
